Musings at 85 © 2023
Our nation is founded on freedom of religion. To fuel a religious war with Islam is a big mistake-one that I would hope we would learn from history on. Our president is a christian- his diverse background gives him an appreciation for those who are different. Trying to repair the US image to the world after the invasion of Iraq and build bridges the the middle east is a smart thing to do. I see his diverse background and an advantage to international relations. Let us not confuse radical extremists with the islam faith. They are even attacking their own mosques in pakistan. They are not religous people but maniacs. Waging war on Islam as a whole only feeds the extremists and their recruitment efforts-this not the road to peace.
